Tammy Louise Harwood

Tammy Louise Harwood, 50, died Monday, December 21, 2015. Tammy was a native of the Beaverdam Valley section of North Asheville. She was a daughter of the late Cline "Jay" and Patricia "Patsy" Jones Harwood. She was a graduate of Western Carolina University and had worked in the medical field for much of her career. She was a mother to her pets which she loved dearly. She was a member of Edgewood Baptist Church where she enjoyed singing in the choir. Her family include her cousin, Karen Rhoades and her husband Randy, and their daughter Courtney; cousin by marriage, Diane Walker, Diane's son Ryan, his wife Stephanie; their children, Jason and Jared, and Diane's daughter, Lauren Walker. A memorial service will be at 3:00 p.m. Sunday at Edgewood Baptist Church with Pastor Louis Gibson officiating. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Edgewood Baptist Church, 61 Moody Avenue, Candler, NC 28715, and/or to the Lupus Foundation, NC Chapter, 4530 Park Rd., Suite 302, Charlotte, NC 28209.
