Daniel Stone Arrowood, 16, of Candler, died Wednesday, December 9, 2015.
He is survived by his parents, Dan and Jennifer Davis Arrowood; sister Sydney Arrowood; and brother Sledge Arrowood.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday at Crossroads Assembly Church, 20 South Bear Creek Rd., Asheville, with Pastor Mike Brown officiating.
The family will receive friends following the service.

Dan, I went to school with your sister, my thoughts and prayers are with your entire family. Dan and Jennifer, you don’t know me….I am the mother of Donnie Crotty. He was the TCR football player that lost his life in 2011 from an accident on the field involving a 4WD gator….I am so very sorry about the loss of your son. My heart is breaking for you, I am praying for you and I am sending my love.
There are no words…..as I read about your son in the newspaper article, he sounded so much like my Donnie. The one that everyone loved, the one that made everyone smile. and the one that was a friend to everyone…..I will not tell you all the things that people say at times like these….I will only offer my sympathies and my love. I can still remember when I was cleaning your house feeding his little rabbit. My heart is broken for you. There is no way I know what you are going through – I can only imagine. It took our breath to hear of Stones passing. He was so handsome and truely loved by all. The loss of this young man has effected an entire school an entire community and his entire family. I spoken to many people that knew my little cousin and not one single person could say anything else then how simply amazing he was. In his 16 years of life on this earth he made such a huge impact In every single persons life he came in contact with in such a positive way that it’s unreal. I hope this tragedy is a lesson to all teenagers who are driving or are beginning to drive. There not in invincible. Driving is not a sport unless you are with Nascar. Prayers for all involved.

Even though me and stone weren’t that close I still loved him. He always knew how to make you laugh when you were upset. He always made everyone around him feel so loved and joyful. I’ll never forget how much he cared about shooting his bow and fishing. He was a great kid and an amazing friend. Yes, we are all going to miss him now that he is gone but we just got to keep working and keep doing the same… thats what he would of wanted. Im happy he isn’t having to hurt and suffer. When I first read about the accident, I knew this was a sad day for the family and all whose lives were touched by this young man. However, as I read what people and friends have to say about him, this was not only a loss for those who knew him, but also for the world for those lives he will never touch. This is a tragic loss for the world as the world sorely needs more people like him. The eyes are the window to the soul and it’s not hard to tell that Daniel was a good person and I believe would have made the world a better place and probably has made it a better place during his short life here on earth. There will never be another like him or to take his place. Celebrate, remember and relish the time he was here and never let his memory fade. We never know when we’ll be taken from this world. Tell those you love that you love them and give them a big hug. Every day us special. Take nothing for granted. God be with the family and loved ones during this most difficult time.

Hearing about this car accident made my heart break for the family & classmates, Rest In Peace Stone Arrowood. Praying for you Dan, Jennifer, Sydney and Sledge and Enka High School as well! Every time I saw Stone in the hall, he was always smiling and happy. He touched so many people’s hearts and lives. There wasn’t a person Stone didn’t like or that he didn’t care for.
