Virginia Louise Crabtree Corn, 83, a resident of the Lodge at Mills River, passed away peacefully, Wednesday, June 17, 2015, surrounded by her family who held a private bedside service. A native of Asheville, she was the daughter of the late Elvia Ewing and Ruth Elmyra Swann Crabtree and wife of the late Clarence Corn, who died in 2012. She was a former Pharmacy Technician at Pardee Hospital. She is survived by her two daughters, Sharon Corn of Arden and Linda Corn Heamon and her husband, Scott Coffey of Fletcher. No other services are planned but the family requests that memorials in their Mom's name be made to Brother Wolf Animal Rescue, 31 Glendale Avenue, Asheville, NC 28803. Groce Funeral Home at Lake Julian is assisting the family.

  1. I am so sorry to hear about Ginny but so happy she is once again with Clarence. They had a true love story. I still miss Clarence and Sat will be 3 yrs he has been gone. I think of him often. They truly loved you 2 girls! And I am so glad you have Andy.
