For your convenience, Groce offers funeral, cremation and burial services in all three locations: East Asheville, West Asheville and Lake Julian. Our spacious, comfortable facilities cater to ceremonies of all sizes with dedicated areas for funerals and life celebrations as well as after-service gatherings.
Cremation Options
For families choosing cremation, Groce offers a range of service options to celebrate the life of their loved one. Traditional or contemporary services can be planned before or after the cremation process. We also offer unique and special memorializations, including above-ground burial in outdoor niches, traditional burials and inscriptions on park benches or trees.
Green Burials
At Groce, we recognize that preservation of our environment is extremely important—this commitment extends to every aspect of our lives and even our passing. Our funeral home is one of a select group of funeral providers approved by the Green Burial Council; a nonprofit organization that encourages the use of burial as a means of facilitating the restoration, acquisition, and stewardship of natural areas.
I had no plans at all! From the first call to Dale Groce, letting him know of Jerry's passing, he was at Carepartners Solace in 20 mins. He was greeting everyone, and his compassionate nature was overflowing!! He said they would be there, no rush to plan, just to let him know when we were ready. That made the whole process for us to plan just open up. We met, planned as Dale's professionalism was evident from the start. He listened as we talked, taking notes, and asked us to tell him about Jerry. Dale Groce and his staff were Amazing!! They helped us turn a very sad situation into a wonderful celebration of Life.
