Lowell Williams, 88, of Candler, died Monday, April 27, 2015, at the John F. Keever Hospice Solace Center.
A native of Burnsville, NC, he was a son of the late Mack and Texie Honeycutt Williams. Mr. Williams worked as a carpenter, and he was an active member of State Street Baptist church.
Mr. Williams is survived by his wife of 54 years, Carolyn Murray Williams; daughter, Linda Williams Murphy; son, Lowell James William; 8 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and brother Hershel Williams.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday in the Patton Ave. chapel of Groce Funeral Home, with Pastor Terry Sprouse officiating.
Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Groce Funeral Home to help with expenses.

Carolyn,Linda and James, my heart is so saddened at hearing of Lowell’s passing.I loved him so much.He would play so many silly games with us kids when we would sleep over with Linda as a child.My prayers are with you all. Sharon Freeman Pace
