Emma Gaydou Lynn, 93, of Asheville, died Wednesday, April 22, 2015, at the Oaks of Sweeten Creek.
A native of Durham, NC, she was a daughter of the late Peter and Catherine Smith Gaydou. She was also preceded in death by her husband, the Rev. James C. Lynn, Sr.
Mrs. Lynn is survived by her sons, James C. Lynn and Norman E. Lynn; 3 grandchildren; and 8 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday in the Patton Ave. chapel of Groce Funeral Home, with the Rev. Larry Collins officiating. Interment will follow at the Western Carolina Carolina State Veteran's Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

So sorry to hear about Miss Emma…I truly enjoyed serving her at the bank. She was one sweet lady. Very sorry for the families loss.. I know she’s in heaven in her new heavenly body.
