Charles Paul Burnett

Charles P. Burnett Arden – On March 27, 2015, Charles Paul Burnett went home to join his parents, William Corbin Burnett and Dorothy Graham Burnett Lewis, his infant son, Charles Paul Burnett Jr., his three infant sisters and his brother, Wilburn Burnett in the Mansion with his Heavenly Father. Missing him dearly is his loving wife of 41 years, Hazel Davis Burnett, who was his reason to be a generous man. Paul's legacy will be maintained by his children, Nicole Candler Bethea (Daryle), Amber Celeste Burnett, Amanda Crystal Burnett (Marshall), Corbin Paul Burnett (Amber) and Gideon Charles Paul Burnett (Jackie); brother Ben Burnett and a sister, Ann Young. Known as "Papa" to his adoring grandchildren; Jordan, Adam, Trae, Camden, Ashleigh, Dixie, Joseph, Athena, Curtis (Zoe), Kendel, Jerron, Josh, Trista and Tevin will carry his love in their hearts. Big Papa will also be missed greatly by Noah, Alli, Serenity, Peyton, Ke'lin, JJ, Leah Rose, Jordan and Aaliyah. As a hard working man, he will be missed by his special cousin, Gilbert Alexander, of Avery's Creek and various neighbors. Paul loved his family and neighbors. Anytime anyone needed anything, Paul would help if he could. He treated everyone he met as family and expected the same in return. The world has lost a special person, but God has gained an Angel. Our hearts are broken. A memorial service will be held at 4:00 PM on Sunday, March 29, 2015 at Oak Grove Christian Church, 5 Morris Road, Arden, off Long Shoals Road. The family will receive friends at the church following the service. A graveside service will be held at 3:00 PM on Monday, March 30, at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Enka.
