YOU WILL BE MISS BETTY .
Be5y was always loved by our family. It’s hard to think that she is gone. But I know where she is now. Douglas Brown…Joe’s son.
I will miss seeing you at Day Stay you were such a sweet lady.
Betty was one of the finest people I have had the honor of knowing! We enjoyed the times with them when they would come to my parents home and they would all sing. She was a precious lady. She will be missed by so many.
Betty was one of the first friends we met when we started going to PCBC. She has been one of the best for 20+ years now and we will miss her so very much. I am praying for your family during this time. We KNOW that we will see her again in Heaven some day, singing and praising the Lord.
In all of my travels, I have met few people that were as much fun to be around as Betty Pitman. I can still remember a Sunday Morning many years ago when I was assisting Betty and Harold with a ‘Sunday Morning Special’ at Pole Creek and she announced ‘ we have had several requests, but we are going to sing anyway!’. Her love for life and her Savior were so evident! To the family – please know that your family will be in our prayers during this time.
We will really miss Betty she was a ray of sunshine always. We loved her. David and Susan Buchanan
Our thoughts and prayers are with the Pittman family. Martha Hoyle and family.
What an outstanding Christian lady Betty was. She will be greatly missed. ….from her ‘table at Bojangles with her church ladies’ on Sunday afternoon to always having a smile and a kind word to everyone at Pole Creek. You could always look around and see Betty whether on a cane or even a walker offering a smile and her friendship. Will miss her but what a choir in Heaven. Carolyn and Gerald Stamey
Our loss is surely Heavens gain we will miss her so much with her friendly smile and her quick wit she will be missed by many our thoughts and prayers go out to her family
Ms. Betty was an awesome lady and ministry partner. I loved when we did outreach visits together. Her commitment to look after the kids in her neighborhood was heart touching–definitely heaven gained a beautiful lady.
What a precious lady! So full of life and joy which she shared with everyone! Praying for God’s comfort for the family.
What a nice celebration of your Mother’s life! I loved the tapes of her singing, and both of them at the end. My dad and I would see Betty at worship on Thursday’s at Day-Stay. She would love to hear my Dad sing. I will miss my Betty. It will not be the same. I don’t remember her chicken, but I remember her red applesauce!
Betty is a precious memory of life in Milk Sick Cove. One day our daughter who was only 3yo. (but very independent) and the dog started out walking to where I was at work. She got as far as Betty’s house and she brought her back up to her Daddy who had fell asleep. Betty left a note and told him she had Ashley and he could come get her when he woke up. Grateful for neighbors who truly care for each other. Betty was a jewel.
Our thoughts and prayers go out to Betty’s family..What a great lady and good friend to us and our families over the years. I have many fond memories of spending the night with Dennis, having parties when we were teenagers and enjoying all of Betty and Harold’s younger sons too. And I especially enjoyed Betty’s chicken….no one else could compare. Betty will be missed but certainly not forgotten.
‘Happy
are those who mourn, since they will be comforted (Matthew 5:4)’ May God provide you and your family with peace and comfort during this difficult time.
A wonderful aunt, full of love and fun. She will be missed by all…but…..she is in our hearts forever!
Was looking for Betty Parris from the book The Crucible for a school project, but rest in peace anyways. ❤️❤️
