Maretta Lourette Robinson

Maretta Lourette Owenby B. Robinson, 90, of Asheville, died Wednesday, February 18, 2015. A native of Buncombe Co., she was the last survivor of 14 children of the late Calvin and Amy Penley Owenby. She was also preceded in death by her first husband, Floyd Burrell, and by her second husband, Elmer Robinson. Mrs. Robinson is survived by her daughters, Shirley Keever and Doris Shepherd, both of Asheville; 7 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; and 6 great-great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday at Groce Funeral Home, Tunnel Rd., with the Rev. Ronald Roberts officiating. Interment will follow at Gashes Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.
