Michael Ray Ramey, 42, died unexpectedly Friday, February 13, 2015, at his home in Lake Lure.
Born in Asheville, he was a son of William Neville Ramey and Donna Ramey Redden, and step-son of Ray Redden.
He is also survived by a sister, ReVonda Ramey Carroll; brothers, Travis Ramey and Matthew Ramey and wife Wendy; grandmother, Audrey McHone; nephews, Eric, Daemon, Zakkyre, Jacob and Lukas, and by his two cats, Jim and Ben.
A memorial service will be at 1:30 pm on Wednesday, February 18 in the Emma United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall.

I am so sorry to hear about Michael. I worked with him and Matt at Linens and Things. We use to have a lot of laughs together. My prayers and thougs are with his entire family.
Thank you so much. And we really appreciate all that you have done up us for Michael ‘s memorial service. It’s such a hard time right not. A parent should never have to plan the funeral of their dear sweet children. I miss Michael soooo bad it hurts.
