September 21, 1944 ~ February 9, 2015

Resided in: Asheville, NC

Jacquie Fajans unexpectedly "blasted on" to her next adventure on February 9, 2015 surrounded by friends at Mission Hospital. She will be remembered by many friends and family across the country, as far as Hawaii. Born September 22, 1944 in Brooklyn, NY, she worked and traveled as an Ultrasound professional for over 40 years finally retiring to Asheville, NC. Her spiritual beliefs and guidance helped her to achieve relationships with others that made positive, deep, lasting impacts. In Asheville, she will be most remembered by her active role in the area Meet.up groups where she led and participated in events on a regular basis. This is tremendous loss for her friends and family. She is survived by her sisters, JoEllen (Kirk) Dunklee, of Charlottesville, VA, and Diane (Wendell) Stewart, of Clay NY; nieces, Jill Thomas, of Raleigh, NC and Kelly Stewart, of Clay, NY, along with nephews, Keith (Dori) Bischof, of Poughquag, NY, Adam (Wendy) Bischof, of Danbury, CT, and Jeffrey (Valerie) Stewart, of Syracuse, NY, as well as countless friends. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Jacquie's wonderful friends in Virginia and Asheville along with the staff of Mission Hospital, especially Palliative Care Physician's Assistant Dawn Garwood for all of her help during this difficult time. Groce Funeral Home on Patton Ave. is assisting the family.

Guestbook

  1. Jacquie was a loving soul with a generous heart! I will miss her dearly but I know she is already dancing on to her next adventure!

  2. Dear sweet Jacquie…we had fun In Virginia Beach. We had to ‘rough’ it; you slept on a recliner and I had the couch (hard as a rock) but we laughed until 1 a.m. I miss your smile

  3. I am just learning of your passing now. I am now realizing that you talked to me just six days before you passed and You never shared with me how sick you really were, but instead you tried to give me words of wisdom about a bad situation I was in. I thought these past few months you were just silent and upset at me for not taking your advice and being stubborn. I’m so sorry Jacquie that I didn’t get to say thank you. You lived your life to the beat of a different drum And many didn’t understand your beliefs or treated you unkind at times. But anyone who really knew you, knew you had a huge heart and an extremely giving soul. You craved love and friendship and gave more than the world returned to you. May your heart be full now and overflow with all the love you most certainly deserve. I will always remember you friend. I love you Jacquie and may you rest in peace
