James Clyde Jones

Surrounded by his loving family, Clyde passed into Heaven on Sunday, October 19, 2014. A native of Haywood Co., he was a son of the late Lang and Effie Hooper Jones. He is survived by Patsy; sons, Ricky and wife Tammy, Lee, and Brandon; daughter, Tamara; and grandchildren, Ryan, Jessica, Shyanne, Brandon Jr., Skye, Khouley, and Blesson. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday in the Patton Ave. chapel of Groce Funeral Home, with the Rev. Louis Gibson officiating. Interment will follow in the Edgewood Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. on Tuesday at Groce Funeral Home. The family wishes to express special thanks to the staff of Mission Hospital.

Rick & Family, We would like to express our heartfelt condolences, Clyde was a very nice man, I always enjoyed riding by the store & seeing him sitting outside, I would always blow the horn & he always threw up that friendly wave, I know he was loved by many & will be missed by all. Clyde had that something special about him that made him so well liked. I will miss seeing him, but he is with God now smiling upon all of us. Again, we are very sorry.   9. I just found out about Clyde’s death. Sorry to hear about it. I wish I had know sooner. I have not seen or heard from him in a few years. I am Lavone Helton. Formal know as Hazel Lavone Jones his daughter that was given up for adoption. So very sorry I didn’t get the chance to say good bye.
