Timothy Lawrence Rice, 44, of Weaverville, died Monday, May 5, 2014, at St. Josephs Campus, Mission Hospitals.
A native of Buncombe Co., he was a son of Johnny and Linda English Rice.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his daughter, Tara Rice; sons, Timothy Rice and Troy Rice; three grandchildren, Colton, Macie, and Tinley; and brother Terry Rice.
The family will receive friends at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday at Groce Funeral Home on Patton Ave. Graveside services will follow at 2:00 p.m. at Ashelawn Gardens of Memory, with the Rev. Charles English officiating.

Tim you was loved dearly by your children and they will miss you terribly. Just know we will take care of them. you are one of the sweet angels in heaven now.

Tim was a great guy I worked with him for a little while at carolina auto parts. We went to lunch together all the time and talked hot rods. R.I.P friend…
