Paul "Tom" Praytor, 87, of Asheville, passed away on Saturday, April 19, 2014, at the John F. Keever Hospice Solace Center. Born on June 5, 1926, in Fletcher, NC, Mr. Praytor was a son of the late Martin and Camie Mehaffey Praytor. He was the last surviving of 11 brothers and sister. Mr. Praytor was employed for 38 years with Youngblood Truck Lines and ABF. He retired in 1989. Mr. Praytor is survived by his wife of 63 years, Margaret Chastain Praytor; daughter, Linda Praytor Crossman; grandson, Scott Allen Crossman; two great-grandsons, Keith Allen Crossman and Thomas Hank Crossman; and many nieces and nephews. A graveside service for Mr. Praytor will be on Tuesday at 3:00 p.m. at Woodlawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Brother Wolf Rescue, 31 Glendale Ave., Asheville, NC 28803. Groce Funeral Home on Patton Ave. is assisting his family.
