Ella Mae Todd Roberts, 73, passed away Thursday, February 27, 2014 at her residence surrounded by her family.
Mrs. Roberts was born in Buncombe County to the late Lewis and Edna Mae Lamb Todd. She is also preceded in death by her husband John Richard Roberts; two brothers, Tommy Todd and Lee Todd and a son, Timothy.
She was a member of Fletcher Baptist Church and volunteered with Hospice and the Ladies Auxiliary of the Railroad.
She is survived by a daughter, Tammy Barker, husband Jim, of Candler; a son, Michael Roberts of Oteen; a son, John Richard Roberts, Jr. "Rick", wife Susan of Brevard; six grandchildren, Brittany Norton, husband Tim, Dakota Barker, Kayla Roberts, Levi Roberts, Michael Dale "Cody" Roberts, Katelyn Roberts and two great grandchildren, Aidon Norton and Skylar Hall. Mrs. Roberts is also survived by her sister, Annette Hall of Arden and her brother, Lewis Todd and his wife, Helen, of Fletcher.
A funeral service will be held at 10:30 AM on Wednesday, March 5, 2014 at Fletcher First Baptist Church with Pastor Roy Waldroup officiating. Burial will follow at the WNC State Veterans Cemetery.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, March 4, 2014 at Groce Funeral Home at Lake Julian from 6:00 to 8:00 PM and at other times at their home.
