Ed and I are so very sorry for your family’s loss. Although we did not know Mr. Luther, we have heard wonderful things about him. May God continue to wrap you in His arms for comfort.
We are so sorry for your loss. Our thoughts and prayers are with your family during this difficult time.
A true great friend…Steve was one of my closest and loyal friends during the 60’s, whom I truly admired. Though we lost contact after I joined/retired from the military and never returned to Asheville to live, I shall always remember Steve as one closer than a brother to me.
Steve was a wonderful person and he will be greatly missed. His warm smile and great sense of humor reflected a warm and caring person. Our prayers are with the family during this sad time.
My deepest sympathy to Steve’s family. I graduated with his sister, Marilyn. I remember Steve well. He was one class behind me. Once again, my deepest sympathy. Gerry Huntley (Class of 1965, Reynolds High School).
Susan…my deepest sympathy to you and your family. My thoughts and prayers are with you all. I sure wish I lived closer so I could be there. Pam Watkins (Class of 1974, ACR)
We are so sorry to hear of Steve’s passing. We have so many great memories from watching the girls play softball at Hominy Valley, Enka High School, and throughout the southeast. And he was always the official ‘greeter’ at J&S on Sundays after church. Always a big smile and usually a story to tell. He will be greatly missed by our community. Praying for all of you.

To the family of Steve Luther–I’m so sorry for your loss.Steve was a special person. The Sunday visits to J&S cafeteria were special to me because of the conversations we had and the ‘Have a good week and I’ll see you next Sunday’ endings. I was unable to attend the funeral because of a prior commitment- but wanted to let you know that I was thinking of the family today. I will miss seeing and talking to him on Sundays–My thoughts and prayers are with you today. With deepest sympathy, Pam Chandler (checker @ j&s cafeteria)
To all of Steve’s family…I am truly sorry for your loss – although Steve was part of my life a long time ago, he helped bring to this life my wonderful niece and many years of warm memories for which I will always be greatful…Heaven truly has another angel may God Bless him and all of his family and friends.
