Don Edward Worley

Don Edward Worley, 78, of 24 Hendrix Street, Asheville, died Sunday, June 27, 2004, at his home. A native of Buncombe County, he was a son of the late George Edward and Estelle Sawyer Worley. He was a US Navy veteran of WWII and a member of West Asheville Baptist Church. Mr. Worley is survived by his wife, Kathryn Robison Worley; two sons, David Lee Worley of Asheville and Don Alan Worley of Spartanburg and four grandchildren. Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Wednesday in the Patton Avenue chapel of Groce Funeral Home with the Reverend Ken Lewis officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. His family will receive friends from 7:00-8:30 pm Tuesday at the funeral home and request that memorials be made to West Asheville Baptist Church, 926 Haywood Road, Asheville.
