  3. A valued friend for many years. I will miss Bob. Our sympathies to his family and to those in the work world who are better persons having known Bob Compton

  4. Remembering Bob from our Human Resources career days. He was always a most knowledgeable and easy going person who was willing to share his expertise. I was his counterpart at Square D and truly appreciated his friendship over the years. My condolences to the family. You will be in my thoughts and prayers.

  5. I remember Bob from our days together at Gerber. My condolences and prayers are with the family. Steve McKinney

  6. Kay, Cliff, Andy, Wendy, Ann and Steve – So sorry to see Bob’s obituary notice in Sunday’s paper. I had no idea he was not well. Instead of cousin, he was like the brother I never had. We played like we were Roy Rogers and Dale Evans many many days, on South Garden Street in Columbia. As we used to sing, Happy Trails To You Until We Meet Again. My love and sympathy, Janice Hardison Osborne.

  7. My father was Thomas Compton, and Bob was my first cousin. I have so
many happy memories of my siblings and Bob and his brother Steve
together as children at the old farm house in Columbia, TN.. Please
accept our sincere sympathies on Bob’s passing. All of us will miss him
very much. Beverly (Compton) Dalrymple; Tommy Compton and Diane
    (Compton) Farrow

  8. My buddy, Bobby, is one the nicest people I have ever known. He was my helper on my paper route and I always totally trusted him.
He wasn’t one to take too much nonsense from people, even though, he was ‘vertically challenged,’ like myself. It’s been many years; yet, I never remember Bobby being unhappy. His attitude was so positive and he could handle whatever this life threw at him.

Miss you Bobby and look forward to seeing you in Heaven,

    Jim Lindsey

  9. To the Compton Family – so sorry to hear of the passing of Bob. I worked with him at Gerber for many years. He was a joyful and helpful person. You are in my prayers and thoughts. May God bless and comfort you.
    Joe and Pat Dotson
