Ronald Harold Surrett

Ronald Harold Surrett, 48, of 154 Surrett Cove Road, Leicester, died Sunday, August 25, 2002. Mr. Surrett was born in Buncombe County and was a son of the late Orville and Selma Morrow Surrett. He was also preceded in death by two sisters, Cleo Reemes and Shirley Surrett, and a brother, Clarence Surrett. He is survived by his wife, Susan Yearout Surrett; one daughter, Tammy S. Peek and her husband Dwayne of Candler; one son, Jeffrey Harold Surrett and his wife Lavonne of Madison Co.; two grandchildren, Isaac Tyler Surrett and Luke Aaron Surrett; two sisters, Carolyn Chambers and Margie Surrett, and three brothers, Ernest, Arnold and Dale Surrett. A funeral service will be at 5:00 pm Friday in the Patton Avenue chapel of Groce Funeral Home with the Revs. Dennis Lanning and Ralph Reemes officiating. There will be no graveside service. His family will receive friends from 7 - 8:30 pm Thursday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to his wife, Susan Surrett, PO Box 893, Leicester, NC 28748, to help with current as well as previous expenses.
