Fletcher - Ernest Cecil Seiderman, 74, of Ravenwood Drive, died Monday, May 17, 2004, at the Mountain Area Hospice Solace Center.
A native of Bronx, NY, he was the son of the late Harry and Sarah Notoff Seiderman.
Mr. Seiderman was a member of Temple Beth Ha-Tephila, a member of the Civitan Club and a volunteer with Mission-St. Joseph's Hospitals. He served in the US Navy for four years and then worked as a civilian employee with the Navy, as an electronics supervisor, for another 33 years.
He is survived by his wife, Emma Lenora Donnelly Seiderman; two sons, Ernest C. Seiderman, Jr. of Coto de Caza, CA. and Mark Seiderman of Fletcher; two grandsons, Guy Seiderman of Virginia Beach, VA and Eric Skillman of Chesapeake, VA.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 am Friday in Temple Beth Ha-Tephila conducted by Rabbi Robert Ratner and Rev. Arnold D. Corriher. Burial will be in the Western Carolina State Veterans Cemetery with military rites conducted by the Buncombe County Veterans Council Memorial Team.
Mr. Seiderman's family will receive friends from 7 until 8:30 pm Thursday at Groce Funeral Home at Lake Julian on Long Shoals Road.
