Jerry Dean King, 56, of Solomon Rd., Leicester, died Thursday, July 25, 2013. A native of Buncombe Co., he was a son of the late James and Pauline Russ King. Mr. King was a Veteran of the U.S. Army, having served during Vietnam. He is survived by his wife, Judi Nichols King; son Jeremy Dean King and wife Carrie; step-son Nathan Hooper; grandchildren Aaron, Jaden, Hailey, and Cameron King, and Morgan Hooper; 5 sisters; and 2 brothers. Graveside services will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Monday at Corinth Baptist Church Cemetery. Groce Funeral Home on Patton Ave. is assisting the family.

  12. Dearest Judi-We are so sorry to learn of Jerry Dean. We will be unable to attend the services as we are in MB for Sonya’s husband, Bob’s Memorial Service on Monday also. Just know we are thinking of you and holding you close to our hearts. You have taken such good care of him and he was lucky to have you in his life.

  15. Judi, we are so shocked and saddened to hear about Jerry’s passing. He was a great man and I will never forget him. You and Jerry were always there for me when I needed you. I know he is looking down on you smiling. I am so sorry we missed the services, we just found out today. We will be praying for you and keep you in our thoughts! May God be your comfort in this time of need.

    With heartfelt condolences we send this message. There’s no pain or loss that God can’t see us through and he promises to do this (Ps.34:18) for as long as he is needed. Our loved ones may be gone from our touch but they never leave the special place held for them in our heart. Jerry will be sadly missed but lovingly remembered.
