Ruth Kathryn Johnson

Arden ~ Ruth Kathryn Johnson, 83, died Friday, August 24, 2012 in Arden, NC. She was the daughter of the late Walter and Olga Johnson. She was a dietitian at a hospital and also a secretary at Blue Cross in NJ. A native and long-time resident of E. Hartford, CT, she was the devoted sister of Rev. Dr. Douglas W. Johnson and his wife Ann. Survivors also include her niece, Cherie Taylor and her husband, Kirk Taylor of Bluffton, SC, nephew, Greg Johnson of Orangeburg, S.C., great-nephew, K.C. Taylor of Summerville, S.C., great-niece, Amanda Taylor of Bluffton, S.C. and a number of cousins. A funeral service will be held at St. Mark's Lutheran Church, 10 N. Liberty St., Asheville, NC on Sunday, August 26, 2012 at 3:00 pm. Burial will take place in Hartford, CT. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Crescent View-Employee's Fund, 2533 Hendersonville Rd., Arden, NC 28704 or to St. Mark's Lutheran Church "Lay Ministry", P.O.
