Mary Lou Brank Bagwell departed this earth Saturday, August 18 at the age of 96. She was the daughter of Tom and Minnie Coggins and one of thirteen children.
She was preceded in death by her two loving husbands, Howard V. Brank and Woodfin Bagwell.
She is survived by her son, George Brank; daughter, Lorraine Newman; four granddaughters, ten great-grandchildren, six great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Doris Williams and Nora Sears and her loving friend Ruth Carter.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm Monday in the chapel of Groce Funeral Home at Lake Julian. Burial will follow in Bethesda Methodist Church Cemetery.

Dear Family, Mary Lou was a fine and kind aunt to us. She could always remember our names and that was amazing to me because the family on both sides was enormus. We will miss her. Roland and I had a chance to know her well and the good woman she was. Jacob did not get to know his grandmother Bessie but he did get to meet Aunt Mary Lou and learn from her about his family and their history. Jake is away in Afganistan but sends his condolences. We want to thank you for sharing her with us through the years. She was a blessing to our little family and always had a sweet,soft smile,and a kindly manner.
