John Stephen Cook

John Stephen Cook, 65, of Asheville, died Tuesday, August 14, 2012, at the John F. Keever Hospice Solace Center. A native of Atlanta, GA, he was a son of Joy Dempsey Cook and of the late John Bell Cook. Mr. Cook was a professional blues guitarist. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Susan Street Cook; a daughter, Skyler Cook; grandchild Phoenix Cook; sister Joyanne Evans of Atlanta; Michael Cook of Atlanta; and adopted siblings Sherry and Stevie. The family will hold a private memorial service at a later date. Groce Funeral Home on Patton Ave. is assisting the family.
