Clifford Lewis Coxon

Clifford Lewis Coxon, 86, of Asheville, died Thursday, July 26, 2012. Mr. Coxon was a born in Kent, England, on February 15, 1926. He served in the English Royal Navy. He is survived by his wife, Gwilda Davis Coxon; daughters, Donna Pittman of Tampa, FL, and Claudia Hobbs of Dade City, FL; step-daughter, Kerry Lewis of Boone, NC; sons, Christopher Coxon of Sylacauga, FL, Wayne Coxon of Webster, FL, and Gregory Coxon of Lutz, FL; step-son Kyle Longcrier of Fayettville, NC; 15 grandchildren; and 8 great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Disabled Veterans of America, Attn: Gift Processing, PO Box 14301, Cincinnati, OH 45250-0301. Groce Funeral Home on Patton Ave. is assisting the family.
